B Corps (B Corporations) are mission-driven businesses operating as a force for good. They do business in ways that are not only good for their shareholders, but good for their employees, customers, communities, suppliers, partners, sponsors and the planet.

Amatis Training is soon to be 1 of 1500 organisations in the UK to be certified as a B Corp with a score of 115.2 (above the qualifying B Corp score of 80+) and we are part of a growing global community set up to balance purpose and profit, helping to create a better world while thriving as businesses.

The B Corp movement is growing fast across the world and here you can discover more about who we are and how we’re working together to shift the behaviour, structure and culture.

Our commitment to governance

Our Articles of Association serve as the guiding principles that dictate how our company operates and outlines the responsibilities of our directors.

In aligning our commitment to a mission, we undertook a thorough update as part of our journey to becoming a B Corp, ensuring that our social, environmental, and economic goals were firmly embedded in the legal framework of our business.

To enhance our social impact both presently and in the future, the Amatis Training team has actively engaged in diverse training initiatives throughout our assessment year. Beyond honing our core job skills, we’ve delved into sustainability and explored new ways to contribute positively towards the preservation of our planet.

Amatis Training is always looking to improve its operations with approved suppliers and partners who share similar values in respect of the environment and people by way of collecting information via our sustainability survey.

Our commitment to the community

Amatis Training sponsors Great Lakes Outreach Initiatives in which we are supporting the African country of Burundi in different ways from helping the female population access sanitary products for free to providing families with goats to produce milk, manure and reproduce quickly.

We also support the Burundi women who are working in prostitution by offering them training for an alternative career in tailoring with access to their own sewing machine, meaning they can make money to take care of their families.

Our commitment to the environment

We are proud that we have funded the planting of 17 trees across 4 projects through Ecologi.

Amatis Training has supported the prevention of the emission of 0.71 tCO2e through 2 verified carbon avoidance projects.

We conserve resources by not using paper-based systems whenever possible.

Our commitment to our customers

Our focus on quality and excellence is echoed by the written testimony of our 103 satisfied customers on Google who have each rated Amatis at 5*.

We are extremely proud to share our learners’ personal experiences of working with us. There are approximately 60 video testimonials on our YouTube channel and the number is going up! These serve as testament to one of our core values – to ‘strive for excellence in everything we do, from the quality of our training services to the way we treat our clients.’

The road ahead

The future is filled with both possibilities and challenges. Our ambitious vision for 2024 includes advocating for still more action to improve our operational impact.

We are not merely formulating plans, we are proactively assessing the impact of our initiatives, ensuring tangible and measurable changes.
