Our B-corp
Journey

Becoming a Certified B Corporation reflects how Amatis Training has always aimed to do business, by working with customers to build lasting capability, that enables successful organisational change, supporting people, acting responsibly and continually improving the way we operate

B Corp Certification independently recognises organisations that balance commercial success with positive social and environmental impact. For us, it reinforces our commitment to creating long-term value for our learners, customers, people, suppliers, communities and the environment.

With a B Impact Assessment score of 98.3, well above the certification threshold of 80, we are proud to be part of a global community of businesses using business as a force for good.

What Being a B Corp Means to Us

Rather than treating B Corp as another accreditation, we see it as a framework that helps us continually improve the way we work.

It encourages us to balance commercial success with positive outcomes for our customers, our people, our communities and the environment. Every decision is an opportunity to create lasting value while remaining accountable for the impact we have.

Good governance underpins every decision we make.

Our Articles of Association formally recognise our commitment to balancing commercial success with positive impact. This means considering the interests of our customers, employees, suppliers, communities and the environment alongside the long-term success of the business.

We continually strengthen our governance through professional development, ethical decision-making and by working with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to responsible business.

We believe successful businesses should strengthen the communities they serve by creating opportunities, supporting wellbeing and investing in long-term partnerships.

We are humbled to sponsor the Great Lakes Outreach Initiatives in which we are supporting the African country of Burundi in different ways from helping the female population access sanitary products for free to providing families with goats to produce milk, manure and reproduce quickly.

We also support the Burundi women who are working in prostitution by offering them training for an alternative career in tailoring with access to their own sewing machine, meaning they can make money to take care of their families.

Friends of Young Carers (FOYC) supports young carers in Bath and North East Somerset by providing essential services like one-to-one support, advocacy, and resources. These services help children who care for family members with illnesses or disabilities balance their responsibilities and childhood. Amatis Training proudly supports this cause by donating funds, ensuring that young carers continue to receive vital assistance and opportunities for personal development. Our contribution helps FOYC create a brighter future for these young individuals, giving them the support they need to thrive.

Although we operate as a digital training provider with a relatively low environmental footprint, we recognise our responsibility to continually reduce our impact. We are committed to making responsible decisions that support a more sustainable future while continually reviewing how we can improve.

We do this by:

  • reducing paper wherever practical
  • supporting verified environmental initiatives
  • reviewing the sustainability practices of our suppliers and partners
  • continually identifying opportunities to improve our environmental performance

Our impact so far includes:

  • funding the planting of 79 trees across four projects through Ecologi.
  • supporting the prevention of the emission of 11 tCO2e through 8 verified carbon avoidance projects
  • conserving resources by minimising the use of paper-based systems wherever possible

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

Every course, learning resource and service is designed to help individuals and organisations build practical Business Analysis capability that delivers measurable business value.

Our commitment to quality is reflected in independently verified customer feedback, consistently high examination success rates and the long-term relationships we continue to build with organisations across the public and private sectors.

Evidence of our commitment

Becoming a Certified B Corporation is not the end of our journey; it’s the beginning of a continuous commitment to improve.

We regularly review how we operate, measure our impact and identify new opportunities to create lasting value for our customers, our communities and the environment.

Our Annual Impact Reports provide a transparent account of our progress, the challenges we’ve encountered and the commitments we’re making for the future.

We understand the importance of accountability and transparency for B Corporations. Our annual impact report is a key document that outlines our social and environmental performance over the year.

It reflects our mission and goals related to sustainability, presenting data on our initiatives in areas like environmental impact and social equity.

The report also showcases success stories and challenges we’ve faced and details our future commitments. Ultimately, this report serves as a vital tool for communicating our progress and dedication to responsible business practices to our stakeholders. Click here to view our Annual Impact Report 2023.

Our 2024 Impact Report marks the next step in our B Corp journey, showing how we’ve built on last year’s foundations to make a deeper social and environmental impact.

It highlights what we’ve achieved, where we’re improving and our goals for the year ahead, all with transparency and purpose.
